Traditional boarding schools and alternative education centers typically require a full year commitment, whereas Wonder Away offers multiple Costa Rica Study Abroad enrollments that can fit any schedule.

Students between 14-18 years will study in Costa Rica at our Flamingo Campus. As we do not deliver a curriculum, all students are required to be enrolled in an online program of their choice. There is no change of schools or transfer of credits, so students will simply continue with their current online curriculum, making the transition easier than ever.

You do not need to be currently enrolled at a college or university. Literally anyone between the ages of 18-23 can apply for the university program at our Tamarindo Campus. Participants will come together as a team for three days a week (18 hours total) at Monkey Park, a wildlife rescue sanctuary and sustainable permaculture.

*Please check our schedule to ensure your online education will not interfere with the Wonder Away program:
