Wonder Away is an experience agency that bridges the gap between traditional tourism and local communities with flexible options to travel, volunteer, and study abroad in Costa Rica.

Wonder Away programs are built around a sustainable permaculture, wildlife rescue center, and turtle conservation project. We work closely with students and schools, both locally and internationally, as well as families and individuals who want to volunteer in Costa Rica.

STUDY ABROAD

Any High School student that is completing school online may continue their curriculum at our Flamingo Campus and study abroad in Costa Rica.

Those who are 18-23 years of age, regardless of being a registered student or not, may enroll in the University program at our Tamarindo Campus.

GET INVOLVED

You can GET INVOLVED with your local community as an alternative way to cover the costs of our programs. We offer local and international assistance opportunities.

STUDENTS
Get your classmates enrolled in exchange for credits towards program fees.

TEACHERS
Travel as a chaperon with your students or apply for a full-time summer position.

PARENTS
Organize a trip for your child in exchange for credits towards program fees.

We work in cooperation with the APAMI Wildlife Rescue Center as their official volunteer agency.

DONATIONS

Wonder Away is committed to helping the local youth of Costa Rica. A percentage of all proceeds are applied to our Scholarship Fund, providing less fortunate students the opportunity to participate in our programs. We also have a variety of fundraisers for APAMI Wildlife Rescue Center’s wildlife rescue center and community garden.
